Potential Application
The DLR system can be utilized in situation whereby transmission network constraints under contingency becomes an operational limitation.
In some cases, the limitation imposes generation constraints, which could lead to operational inefficiencies. The limit can be stretched by applying dynamic rating to selected lines which will bring in significant operational cost saving.
